Spanish native speaker from Mexico City. I have been an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher for 7 years, teaching kids, teenagers and young adults of all ages, in public and private schools. I have the TDC (Teachers Diploma Course) that certifies me to teach levels ranging from A1 to C1 in the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). I am highly interested in linguistics, specially in how languages work and how they are interpreted and transmitted.
In 2014, I was one of the two leaders in the translation and localization project of the visual novel "Katawa Shoujo" into Latin American Spanish. It was a big project with a team of more than ten members, and close to 300 thousand words to be translated from English (about the size of "the Lord of the Rings" trilogy).
Additionally, I have translated manuals and other documents asigned by the language institute I taugh at for many years. As an independent contractor I have translated machinery manuals, software for different companies, websites, children's books and some video games.
My projects include the translation of instruction manuals and tasks for the DefinedCrowd company, and being in charge of proofreading and validating the job done by their workers once tasks were completed.
I was commissioned by Mega Cat Studios for the translation and localization of the game "Coffee Crisis" into Latin American Spanish.
Some other games I have translated include "Coyote & Crow", "Party Panic" and "House Party"
I have also participated in proofreading and editing projects of all kinds of documents and files. I have read over 1000 books, and written two more, which has allowed me to improve my writing and has made me more than capable of proofreading any kind of file.
